Susan R. Morris Attorney/Mediator
Susan Morris is a professional attorney/mediator who has conducted hundreds of successful mediations. She specializes in resolving construction, real estate, business/commercial, real property, land use and environmental issues and disputes. She has extensive experience negotiating and facilitating contracts, as well as resolving complex and multi-party disputes. Ms. Morris earned an LL.M Degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law and the Institute for International and Comparative Law at Oxford University, England. Ms. Morris is a court- appointed mediator and arbitrator for the Los Angeles and Ventura County Superior Courts. Ms. Morris is admitted to practice in California and Colorado and has over 20 years of experience in corporate transactions and civil litigation. She has served as general counsel for a variety of companies involved in business consultation, construction, health care, marketing, publishing and real estate. As a mediator, Ms. Morris is a professional neutral who can provide objective assessment and reasoned analysis through collaboration to meet your unique interests and needs. She has special training and experience facilitating communication dynamics and in finding creative ways to break impasse in the face of complex issues, strong emotions and adherence to positions. Wayne Baldwin has mediated both litigated and internal corporate disputes. He notes that the continuing nature of the relationships inherent in internal disputes often raises the level of complexity and difficulty of the mediation. He has developed exceptional skills in resolving difficult Mr. Baldwin has both courtroom and boardroom experience. After 10 years of private practice focused in healthcare, business, real estate and construction, including litigation and jury trials, he became general counsel of a national medical provider. As a result of his combined history with experience in litigation, transactional and a corporate practice, he has developed keen business acumen to compliment analytical lawyer and mediation skills. Mr. Baldwin received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics (accounting emphasis) from the University of California at Santa Barbara with honors where he was a Phi Beta Kappa candidate. He obtained a Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University, cum laude. As an attorney in private practice, Mr. Baldwin's legal experience includes both litigation and outside general counsel services for a variety of companies including healthcare entities, financial and accounting service providers, contractors, developers, and aircraft distributors/sales. He has extensive experience in healthcare related disputes, construction disputes, corporate disputes, and in designing systems for resolving disputes internally. |
